Gemini LIMS uses the latest Microsoft .NET platform, providing the same screens for both rich clients and thin Web browser clients with zero footprint. The software may be configured to the needs of different laboratories without custom code or any scripting language. The platform is written in C# using pure .NET tools and contains no legacy code. It may be hosted on either an Oracle or SQL Server database. Workflow screens and menus may be configured to support sample and/or batch registration in the laboratory, at a remote site, or via electronic transfer from some other system such as ERP. Appropriate tests and limits can be added automatically at registration based upon the type of sample. Results may be entered manually, imported from other electronic files such as spreadsheets, or downloaded directly from instruments or test devices connected on-line. The software supports the import, storage and reporting of Binary Large Objects (BLOBs). Booth #5554
